CNI focuses on providing boards, EDs and development teams the tools they need to evaluate and improve the performance of their fundraising programs. The areas of focus include: strategic planning, analyzing ROI on various fundraising tactics, measuring outcomes as well as outputs, using performance as a guide to finding new donors, how to evaluate and implement innovations, and how to deal with the new generation of donors.
Our grants management courses are not just another ‘write a winning grant’ forum. They offer hands on training with problem identification, performance evaluation, costing and auditing rules, and end outcome measurement
All grants, but especially federal ones, have associated regulations and compliance issues that few organizations concern themselves about in the grant writing process. Winning a federal grant comes with it a great deal of responsibility in the form of hidden requirements and potential penalties. Paul Calabrese, a senior executive with Rubino & McGeehin, Chartered, CPAs and Consultants, provided a basic overview for complying with federal government grant guidelines at the recent Grants Management for Results Course in Arlington, VA.
A recent study released by the Foundation Center shows that corporate foundation donations reached a record high of $3.6 billion in 2005, and corporate giving is projected to stay very strong in 2006. The money contributed to nonprofits from corporate foundations represents 11% of all foundation giving, far below the 17% high water mark in 1987. The main beneficiaries of corporate dollars were education and social benefit organizations.
